On some indoor spin bikes, a felt pad presses against the flywheel as you turn the resistance knob. The material creates drag. A spinning bike felt pad can be fitted to a shaped backing or sold as part of a larger bracket assembly.
A close-looking replacement may still be wrong. The curve, mounting holes and contact position all matter. The pad also needs to match the bike's actual resistance system.
